The Clue is al jarenlang een vertrouwd muzikaal begrip in de West-Friese regio. Een band die ooit eind 80-jaren is gestart en nog steeds speelt met inzet en volledige toewijding in het uitvoeren van al die prachtige liedjes.
Van bekende liedsjes van Paul McCarthney, Douwe Bob en Racoon tot minder voor de hand liggende materiaal van REM, Daniel Lohues, Johan en Mott the Hoople. Soms heerlijk voorspelbaar, maar soms uit een verrassend muzikale hoek komend.
Een optreden van The Clue kenmerkt zich door een sterke akoestische benadering van het repertoire, de meerstemmigheid en de onderhoudende ondersteuning van basgitaar en slagwerk.
